In the last afternoon class we taked about different topics. Despite the fact we could chose a topic where we are interest in, we had to listen to all the students and made some notes. It’s a really hard excercise to listen to other foreign people who speaks english with their accents…In addition when it is a topic you are not interest in… that’s the reason, why I hadn’t note so much on my paper, but I will try to explain the topic ” American Mint” in my own words.

After a concress in Philadelphia 1792, a new bank was born, which was called “American Mint”. They stay there until now. The main Mint facility is located in Washington D.C.

From that time  until now it has happend a lot. For example after the civil war they had to close a lot of their banks. It was  hard work to get their good reputation back.

Today, they have four stores in america. The biggest and the oldest one has its place in Philadelphia. The otherones are in New Yersey, Denvor and San Francisco.

One of the main work for them is to print coins for other countries.

In my opinion it is not a good topic for me to write about. But I think to write about money in general would be miles better for me.

murderball

In my afternoon class, we was watching a movie called murderball. My first impression of the film was not so good. I felt really sad for this people to be in a wheelchair without any hopes to return in their old lifes. I was thinking of myself, if something like that would happen to me. I’m not sure, if I had the strong feeling to live anymore without any feeling for my body. Of course, after a while i’m used to being paralized, but  to go to this point is a hard and long way.

But I was surprised of the positiv thinking of the paralyzed people in the movie. They have now such a strong personality and the found the way back in a “normal life”. The movie showed me that nothing is impossible! Tou can continue with sport, if you interessed in! To meet other people with handicaps give you more selfconfinence and you know now  not to be alone anymore with your handicap.

In my opinion, we are lucky to be healthy. But you know it not before something bad happend to you or to something who were close to you. My father was very ill this year and we didn’t know if he survive his illness. It was the badest experience in my life… but now, my father is not anymore the same person, he is gradeful that he can live and is just happy to be here. In a few months he would be compledely healthy. Not everone has this luck .

Now, I’m pretty sure to be happy with my life, I can do, whatever I want to. An accident or a illness or something like that can always happen to you. It has no rule in living healthy for the rest of your life. But no matter what happens to you, when you have the strong feeling to survive,  you have a better chance to survive really. Also when you have good friends around you who help you.

Dear reader,

I would like to write about Paris. In 2007 I was in the capital city of France. I was there for 3 months to learn French. It was my first trip alone and I was so excited to be alone in a country I had never been in before. After the first night I was feeling just sad because I missed my family, my friends and especially my lovely boyfriend Toby, but my hostfamily was great. The hostmother came to me while I was crying and took me in her arms. That was the beginning of a great time there.

Usually in the morning, I visited  a language school and after lunch I had free time to do something else. Paris is a big city with countless things you can see. For example, I was at the top of the Eiffel tower. It was expensive, but the view was amazing, I never will forget. I also saw Momartre. In my opinion, it is the best part of Paris. I love the colorful houses and the art that is everywhere. There are also good restaurants with typical French food. If you want to eat mussels, you can order them. If you want some Camenbert(cheese), no problem, you can order it.  Once I was with my friends in a little restaurant, we ate mussels while a woman was singing French songs. It was really a cool experience because it was so typically French. Another day I was shopping in the Champs-elysee Street. It was a bad day for my wallet. *smile*

In school I met some cool people. That was very important for me because I am a person who needs other people around me to be happy, so I was so relieved to find friends who were similar to me. On the weekend we went out together and had so much fun. We took pictures all the time, so that we could remember the cool time we had together.

The time passed so quickly, it was incredible. I will never forget that trip, it was a beautiful time.

Hello world!
